2: Rajini in Sivaji
Second place goes to Super Star Rajinikanth in Sivaji. The film came after two years of Chandramukhi, with many high expectations. We can tell two factors created massive hype for this movie: one, it is a superstar film, and two, it is being directed by Shankar, who has given blockbusters like Gentleman, Indian, and Mudhalvan before. Rajini fans were happy to see Rajini in his old look and the Motta BOSS look. Expectations went sky-high amongst people as soon as the trailer was released. Everyone started quoting the dialogue “Chumma Adhurudhula,” which Thalaivar said in the trailer. In the introduction scene, Rajini is arrested by the police, and their faces is completely masked when a prisoner beside his cell asks him, “Why did he get arrested?“ Thalaivar will turn and say “Naatuku Nalladhu Pannan,“ and also in the Climax, Motta Boss will be introduced with AR BGM, which will be a pure mass, when he walks and taps his tonsured head and says “Boss, Motta Boss.”

1: KamalHassan in Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu
The first place goes to none other than our Universal Hero, Kamal Hassan, for the movie Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu. Gautam Vasudev Menon, who had previously directed Kaakha Kaakha, was in charge of directing it. Both movies were super hits, and Kaakha Kaakha was a turning point for Surya in his career. Due to this, Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu raised high expectations among the audience before its release, and we can explicitly say the movie lived up to its high expectations. The introduction scene is the best till now, which is a perfect blend of class and mass. That too, when Kamal says “En Kannu venumnu Ketiyaamae and “**Thaa Gate eh mudra,“ the theater erupts a non-stop roar until the intro song. Harris Jeyaraj’s music added more class to this mass scene. I’m sure no one would deny giving first place to this scene in the top 10 mass introduction scenes in Kollywood.
